The French freediver Loïc Leferme set a new worldrecord on October 30 off Villefranche (Cote d"azure). His record was confirmed by officialy from AIDA. The entire dive took 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Before achieving the record, Leferme had a 2 week training period on the record location to increase depth step by step and to assure that all needed equipment and the team were functioning as needed and consistent with safety regulations.
