This small booklet is meant as a training aid for students in an Oxygen First Aid training program. It covers both the medical and the technical background. The knowledge in the book, combined with the practical training in an Oxygen First Aid training program, will prepare divers to assist divers in an emergency.

The booklet follows the same sequence in which the instructor will be teaching the theoretical parts of the program. It offers detailed insight in both the medical and technical aspects in a manner that will allow divers to understand what happens in the body of a patient after a diving related accident, rather than studying signs and symptoms by heart.
